The Marksmen Received their second consecutive
"Dove Nomination 2010"

Over a period of thirty years, The Marksmen have become one of the top Bluegrass Gospel Groups in the nation.
For many years a dynamic force on the southern gospel circuit. Several years back, The Marksmen began to tread
new ground on the bluegrass circuit as well, but always with their familiar brand of music, with a gospel message.

In 1991, The Marksmen won video of the year for their production of "Grandpa Was a Farmer", at the Independent
Country Awards. Then in 1992 they received a Telly Award with their video of "Wagon Tracks." In 1993, '94,
and '95 at the National Bluegrass Awards The Marksmen won SPBGMA's award for the best Bluegrass/Gospel Group of the year.

Recently The Marksmen had a #1 song "Love Letters In The Sand" in the Christian Voice Country Gospel Charts,
written by Willard Thomas and Mark Wheeler. Over the last few years The Marksmen have had several top 20
country gospel songs. The Marksmen have also been inducted into t
The Lone Star State (Texas) Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

The Marksmen look at these awards as token of appreciation from those who love their music. Their greatest
achievements have been to glorify Jesus Christ in song and the honor of taking the Gospel message to the world.

The Marksmen consist of Earle Wheeler, Mark Wheeler,
Darrin Chambers, Davey Waller & Mark Autry.
